Nintendo Switch gets 20 SNES Games Alongside a New SNES Controller

A year ago, Nintendo launched Switch online, the subscription-based online services constituent of Nintendo’s Switch console. Today the Kyoto-based Company announced that SNES games would be introduced to the Switch which would join the already existing NES games. Nintendo says that there are 20 games initially which would be launched on September 5, more games will be added soon.

These SNES games would support the Rewind feature which was announced earlier this year. As it did for the NES games, Nintendo is also launching a custom SNES controller for the Switch specifically for the SNES games, which charges over USB cable and costs $29.99. SNES controller for the Switch is available exclusively for Switch online members.

Thanks to the FCC filing which had the details of the SNES controller hardware, it was predicted that Nintendo has something in its stores for the Gamers. Last year Nintendo released a NES controller alongside the launch of Nintendo online service.
